Role: Middleware engineer – look for Junior to midlevel consultants
Location: Cincinnati, OH (day one onsite)
Primary skills – Red hat JWS, Tomcat and Apache provisioned thru Ansible Playbook, WAS, Python, Perl, Shell, Jython
Should Have 7+ years of experience in WAS and Linux Application support as part Servie Management • Assists with the planning and execution of system launches
Leads new and existing application administration support programs
Should have working experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins and Github.
Establishes cadence to manage our vendors closely
Identifies gaps in the process, create a plan and implement the practice within the team to enforce use of audit and risk compliance measures
Acts as a liaison in creating Disaster Recovery documentation, Implementation Plans, Support Plans, Process Documentation Run Book, etc.
Executes the Disaster Recovery Plans (both DR Exercise and actual disaster)
Executes on scripting for automation
Functions as a point of contact and provides for 24/7 on-call coverage
Provides oversight and support documentation by establishing and following processes around the areas of issue handling, install, and application maintenance
Collaborates with others to troubleshoot and identify problems and drive teams towards a resolution
Builds and executes on system capacity plans
Establishes system monitoring solutions to meet the needs of the business
Stays current on industry knowledge and trends as it pertains to job functions
Understands the application and how those applications support the businessUnderstands the business from both an internal and external customer perspective
Understands the upstream and downstream data flow and impact
CMDB Perfection and Maintenance
Daily standups / shift turnover with written reports via email
General process improvement
Assist in Audit and Risk Process which includes pre-audit preparation and remediation of findings
Environment Management – including non-production environment management
Change Management Support
Liaison with Outside Teams
Overall first line of defense for reported issues
Ready to work in shifts on rotation basis even during the weekends and ready to accept split Weekly Offs.
Working with the team of Production Support, attending production calls.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Report out of support issues and threats to process to appropriate team to investigate further.
Should be Flexible to work in 24*7 work environment
